Google Sync and Earth

I've tried out 2 new Google products recently. Google Browser Sync is a Firefox plugin that allows you to sync your browser across different computers so that you have the same bookmarks, saved passwords and more on each machine. The catch is that the plugin has to be installed on each computer that you want synced. What's a little annoying is that each time you start up and close Firefox, the browser has to communicate with the Google servers, which slows you down on start-up and closing.

Google Earth 4.0 is pretty cool. The resolution has been augmented for certain areas (like New York City) and you can change your view angle. However, I noticed that when I was installing the program, it asked me if I wanted to make Google the default search engine on my browser. A little sneaky, I must say...perhaps treading in the gray area of their purported "Don't Be Evil" mantra.
