If you're an account management person, there are many potential mistakes you can make. Here they are:
- Forwarding an internal correspondence to your client rather than writing a fresh e-mail, enabling them to read your internal back-and-forths
- Lying to your client, but not getting caught
- Telling your client that since their budget is so small, you can't dedicate that much time to service them
- Being so intolorable to work with that your colleagues quit one by one
- Badmouthing a client, thinking that they're on mute, when in fact they're not
- Lying to your client, and getting caught
- Putting your account in the red
- Getting your agency fired from an account because of something you did (or didn't do), then costing the jobs of your colleagues
- Getting your agency sued by a client, resulting in substantial losses, causing the company to shutter its doors and costing many jobs
- Giving your client any of the following as ways to contact you: your home phone number, your cell phone number, your screenname
